Question 214266: If three times the supplement of an angle is subtracted from seven times the complement of the angle, the answer is the same as that obtained by trisecting a right angle. Find the supplement.
Answer by edjones(8007) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let a=the angle
trisecting a right angle=90/3=30
compliment=90-a
supplement=180-a
.
7(90-a)-3(180-a)=30
630-7a-540+3a=30
90-4a=30
-4a=-60
a=15 degrees.
