I understand what complimentary and supplementary angles are, but I am confused on how to complete this problem. Please don't just give me the answer, I need to be able to explain how to do these types of problems.

Let the angle be A, then its supplement is 180-A and its complement is 90-A.
Simplify and solve for A.
Add 3A to both sides.
Subtract 180 from both sides.
Divide both sides by 2.
