Question 204131: If I have the sqrt[120]; how do I reduce it?
Answer by Earlsdon(6294) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The idea here is to factor the radicand (quantity under the radical) and see if any of the factors is a perfect square. If a factor is a perfect square, then take its square root and move out from under the radical.
Reduce:
Factor the radicand.
Take the square root of 4 and move it out in front.
