THE QUESTION IS INCOMPLETE..IT SHOULD CONTINUE LIKE THIS PROBABLY.....
equal then the two lines are parallel.
this is the converse of the theorem stating that alternate interior angles formed when a transversal cuts 2 parallel lines are equal....i hope you know this theoem ..the proof is done by reductio-ad-absurdum....or by contradiction..as the question is incomplete i do not know whether you want the proof ?
