A and B are supplemetry. A=3x and B=x+8. Find A and B. What do you do?
.
What you are expected to know is that:
if two angles are "supplementary", the sum of the two angles = 180.
.
This means:
A + B = 180
or
3x + (x+8) = 180
4x + 8 = 180
4x = 172
x = 43
.
Therefore:
Angle A:
3x = 3(43) = 129 degrees
.
Angle B:
x+8 = 43+8 = 51 degrees
