Question 15274: two angles are complementary.The mesure of one angle is twice the mesure of the other angle. what is the smaller of the two angles?
Answer by rapaljer(4671)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x = smaller angle
2x = larger angle

Sum of the angles = 90 degrees
x+ 2x = 90
3x = 90
x= 30 degrees -- smaller angle
2x = 60 degrees -- larger angle

Sum of the angles 30 + 60 = 90
It checks!
