if the complement of the angle is 20 degrees less than 4 times the angle, you get the following equation.
90 - x = 4x - 20
add x to both sides of the equation and add 20 to both sides of the equation to get:
110 = 5x
solve for x to get:
x = 22.
this says that the anble is 22 degrees.
the complement of the angle is 90 - 22 = 68 degrees.
the complement of the angle is 20 degrees less than 4 times the angle.
this says that 68 degrees is 20 degrees less than 4 times 22 degrees.
4 times 22 = 88.
