The measure of an angle is eighty-nine times the measure of its supplementary angle.
A = 89(180 - A)
A = 16020 - 89A
A + 89A = 16020
90A = 16020
A = 16020/90
A = 178 degrees is the angle and 2 degrees is the supplement

The measure of an angle is eighty-nine times the measure of its supplementary angle. What is the measure of each angle.
Let angle's measure be A
Then its supplement is: 180 - A
We then get: A = 89(180 - A)
A = 89(180) - 89A
A + 89A = 89(180)
90A = 89(180)
Measure of angle, or
You should now be able to find its supplement.

I'm somewhat surprised that both the responses you have received use the same solution method, which is far more work than necessary....

The measure of one angle is 89 times the measure of the other; and the two are supplementary.

So let the measures be x and 89x. Then

ANSWER: the two angles are x=2 degrees and 89x=178 degrees.
