Find the measure of the larger of two supplementary angles.
A + B = 180
The measure of the larger is four times the smaller.
A = 4B
Replace A with 4B in the 1st equation
4B + B = 180
5B = 180
B = 180/5
B = 36 degrees
:
"Find the measure of the larger", A.
A = 4(36)
A = 144 degrees
