Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
∠1 and ∠2 are a linear pair, and ∠2 and ∠3 are vertical angles.
1 + 2 = 180 degrees ; 2=3
------------------------
m∠1=(5y−8)∘ and m∠2=(12+6y)∘
5y-8+12+6y = 180 degrees
11y+4 = 180degrees
11y = 176
y = 16
-----
What is m∠3 ?
m<3 = m<2 = 12+6y = 12+6*16 = 12+96 = 108 degrees
----------------------------
16°
72°
108°
132°
