you need to provide more info. What is the relationship between the base and the sides? Examples: "the base is 20 meters less than three times one side", or: "the length of each side is 10 more than the base"

The perimeter is 250; the base is x.
So the sum of the lengths of the two legs is (250-x).
Since the triangle is isosceles, the two legs are the same length.
So the length of each leg is (250-x)/2..
