Question 1077380: ∠A and ∠B are supplementary angles. If m∠A = 2x + 16 and m∠B = 4x+14, what is the value of x?

Answer by ikleyn(52792)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
m(A) + m(B) = 180.    (since A and B are supplementary angles)

(2x+16) + (4x+14) = 180  --->

6x + 30 = 180  --->  6x = 180-30  --->  6x = 150  --->  x =  = 25 degrees.

---> m(A) = 2*25 + 16;  m(B) = 4*25+14.

Make this calculations.
