Question 1067624: in an isosceles triangle with 2 known angles of 20x-10 and 9x+4 there is an unknown angle that is equal to 20x-10 how do i find that angle and solve for x
Answer by addingup(3677)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
20x-10+9x+4+20x-10 = 180
20x+9x+20x-10+4-10 = 180
49x-16 = 180
49x = 196
x = 4
------------------------
20(4)-10 = 70
9(4)+4 = 40
20(4)-10 = 70
---------------------------
Check:
The angles of EVERY triangle add up to 180 degrees. We have:
70+40+70 = 180 Correct.
