Find the measures of two supplementary angles if the measure of one angle is 6 less than 5 times the measure of the other angle
-----------------
Equations:
a + b = 180 degrees
a = 5b-6
-------
Substitute for "a" and solve for "b"::
5b-6 + b = 180
6b = 186
b = 31 degrees
a = 180-31 = 149 degrees
