Yes, you have it set up correctly.
Call the missing angle, v.
The complement is then 4v.
The equation is then, as you wrote,
v + 4v = 90
Then
5v = 90
Divide both sides by 5 and get
v = 18 degrees

Complementary angles are those that add up to 90 degrees (supplementary angles add up to 180 degrees).
-------------------------
Since the sum of complementary angles adds up to 90, no more and no less, we know that if we subtract the measure of your angle from 90 you know what your complementary angle is. For example, let's say your angle is 40 degrees. Well, then 90-40= 50 is your complementary angle.
---------------------------------
To your problem:
Angle v is 4 times the measure of it's complementary angle:
4*x, where x is its complementary angle. So, if we add 4*x+x we get 90:
4x+x= 90
Add x on left 4x+x= 5x. Rewrite:
5x= 90
Divide both sides by 5:
x= 18 is the measure of the complementary angle. And your angle is 4 times the complementary:
your angle= 18*4= 72
