Question 934877: Hi I have these problems that I dont understand. Im not sure what theyre called but...
#1. 6a+7=4a+7
#2. 18h-5=11h-14
#3. 1/2f -2= 1/6f

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
#1. 6a+7=4a+7
Subtract 4a from both sides::
2a + 7 = 7
Subtract 7 from both sides::
2a = 0
Divide both sides by 2::
a = 0
-----------------------
#2. 18h-5=11h-14
7h = -9
h = -9/7
-----------------------
#3. 1/2f -2= 1/6f
Multiply thru by 6 to get:
3f - 12 = f
2f = 12
f = 6
