rewrite the equation as a function of x
-3x+4y =11

-3x+4y = 11
4y = 11+3x
y = (11/4)+3x/4
f(x) = (11/4)+(3x/4)

Question:

rewrite the equation as a function of x
-3x + 4y =11

Answer:

Here you need to write the equation in terms of 'x'.

For that shift all the terms except 'y' terms to the other side as follows

For that add 3x on both sides

==> -3x + 4y + 3x = 11 + 3x

==> 4y = 11 + 3x, this function is in terms of 'x'.

Again you can write it as follows...

Divide both sides of the expression by 4

==>

==> y =

Hope you found the explanation useful.
