Answer by rothauserc(4718)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8x-2 = x^2+15x
x^2 +7x = -2
complete the square
x^2 +7x + 49/4 = -8/4 + 49/4
(x + 7/2)^2 = 41/4
x + 7/2 = square root(41/4)
x + 7/2 = + or - 3.20
x = -3.50 + 3.20 = -0.30
x = -3.50 - 3.20 = -6.70
x = -0.30 or -6.70
