Since we have y=2x%2B3 we can substitute this value of y into y of the first equation

-6x+%2B+3%282x%2B3%29+=+12 Plug in 2x+3 into y

-6x+%2B+6x+%2B+9+=+12 Distribute

9+=+12 Combine like terms

Since this is never true for any x, we have no solutions which means this system is inconsistent
