Question 748907: Use elimination to solve:
3x+5y=-13
2x-3y=23
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x+5y=-13 ...1
2x-3y=23 ...2
Multiply (1) by 2
and (2) by 3
6x + 10y = -26 ...3
6x - 9y = 69 ...4
Subtract (4) from (3)
19y = - 95
y = - 5
Substitute y = - 5
into (2)
2x - 3y = 23
2x + 15 = 23
2x = 23 - 15
2x = 8
x = 4
