31x – 8(3x – 0.745) = 6x + 0.205
31x-24x+1.16=6x+0.205
x=0.205-1.16
x=-0.955

Answer by checkley71(8403)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
31x-8(3x-0.745)=6x+0.205
31x-24x+5.96=6x+.205
31x-24x-6x=.205-5.96
x=-5.755 solution
proof:
31*-5.755-8(3*-5.755-.745)=6*-5.755=.205
-178.405-8(-17.265-.745)=-34.53+.205
-178.405-8(-18.01)=-34.325
-178.405+144.08=-34.325
-34.325=-34.325
