Hi,

-2x+y=1 (x,y) point (0,1) and (-1/2,0) on this Line

-4x+2y=-8 (x,y) point (0,-4) and 2,0) on this Line
Plot points and connect with respective Lines
Lines do not Intersect: NO solution for this linear system

-2x+y=1 0r y = 2x+1
-4x+2y=-8
-4x + 2(2x+1) = -8
-4x + 4x + 2 = -8
2 ≠ -8 NO solution for this linear system
