QUESTION:
2(x -3) - 3(x + 5) = 3(x - 2) - 7
ANSWER:
2(x -3) - 3(x + 5) = 3(x - 2) - 7
Remove parenthesis by multiplying....
==> 2*x - 2*3 - 3*x -3* 5 = 3*x - 3*2 - 7
==> 2x - 6 - 3x - 15 = 3x - 6 - 7
==> 2x - 3x -6 - 15 = 3x - 6 - 7
==> -1x - 21 = 3x - 13
Subtract 3x from both sides.....
==> -1x - 21 - 3x = 3x - 13 - 3x
==> -1x - 3x - 21 = - 13
==> -4x - 21 = -13
add 21 to both sides of the equation....
==> -4x - 21 + 21 = - 13 + 21
==> -4x = 8
divide both sides by -4
==> -4x/-4 = 8/-4
==> x = -2
So the solution is x= -2
Hope yopu understood.
