Question 64547: ((3x^2-12)/(x^2=2x-8)) / ((6x+18)/(x=4))
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
((3x^2-12)/(x^2+2x-8)) / ((6x+18)/(x+4))
Factor where you can to get:
[(3(x-2)(x+2)/(x+4)(x-2)]/[6(x+3)/(x+4)]
Cancel where you can to get:
[3(x+2)(x+4)]/[6(x+3)/(x+4)]
Invert the denominator and multiply as follows:
[3(x+2)(x+4)]
Cancel where you can to get:
[(x+2)]/[2(x+3)]
