Clear of fractions by multiplying through by LCD of 4

4·4d - 4·(2d-4) = 4·(d+4)

  16d - 2(2d-4) = -5(d+4)
   16d - 4d + 8 = -5d - 20
        12d + 8 = -5d - 20
            17d = -28
              d =
