Question 641843: Here is the problem I am having trouble with.
x/(x^2-1) - (x+3)/(x^2-x) = -3/(x^2+x)

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x/(x^2-1) - (x+3)/(x^2-x) = -3/(x^2+x)
-----
Multiply thru by x(x-1)(x+1) to get:
x^2 - (x+3)(x+1) = -3(x-1)
-----
x^2 - [x^2+4x+3] = -3x+3
-----
x^2 - x^2 -4x - 3 = -3x+3
----
x = -6
