Question 589313: Is (-4, 2) a solution of 2x - 5y = 10?
Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Plug -4 in for x and 2 in for y
2x - 5y = 10
2*(-4)-5*(2)=10
If the end results are truly equal then (-4,2) is a solution.
If you get something like -18=10 then it is not a solution.
