factorise the denominator --> (x-1)(x+4)

So the denominator is ok for any value of x, except 2 values --> x=+1 and x=-4. Eith of these, means that the denominator is zero. And a zero on a denominator is NOT good --> you get infinity as the answer.

So your domain is xeR, but x not 1 or -4.
