This kind of problem is difficult for me. Can someone take me step by step?

Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y/7=(y-5)/2

2y=7(y-5)

2y=7y-35

2y-7y=-35

-5y=-35

y=(-35)/(-5)

y=7
