Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
" what is the slope of "
"i have never understood this so please explain thank you."
----
Keep this in mind: The slope is the change in "y" when the
change in "x" is 1.
----
Try it:
y = 2x+3
---
Let x = 0, then y = 3
Let x = 1, then y = 2*1+3 = 5
----
y increased by 2 when x increased by 1
The slope is 2
----
Try it with y = -3x + 5
and you will see that the slope is -3.
Good Luck
