Question 509684: {3/2x+9=y
{4y-6x=36
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(3/2)x+9=y
multiply equation by 2 the LCD
3x+18=2y
3x-2y=18................1
4y-6x=36................2
multiply (1)by -2
Multiply (2) by 1
-6 x 4 y = -36
4y=6x-36
-6 x 4 y = 36
4y=6x+36
you will observe that the slopes of the two equations are same (3/2)
and the intercepts are different ( +36 & -36)
so the lines are parallel.
They have no solution.
