Question 460507: Can you help me solve these equations please? 3/4y=2/3y+5 and 8s-3=5(2s+1)
Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Assuming you really mean
(3/4)*y=(2/3)*y+5
(3/4)*y-(2/3)*y=5
(3/4-2/3)*y=5
convert to 12ths
(9/12-8/12)*y=5
(1/12)*y=5
y=60
check
3/4*60=2/3*60+5
45=40+5
ok
