Question 438818: Solve the system by elimination
0.5x + 2y = 2.25
3x + 12y = 13.5
If the system is dependent, use a to represent any real number.
Can you please help me solve this? I came up with the answer: (a, 0.5a + 2.5) but it is saying that it is incorrect.

The 2nd eqn is 6 times the 1st, so it's dependent.
