Hi
line that is perpindicular to the line y=3/2x+4 would have slope m = -(2/3)
Note: the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line is: y = mx + b
where m is the slope and b the y-intercept.
y = -(2/3)x + b |using ordered pair Pt(1,5) to solve for b
5 = -2/3 + b
5 2/3 = b
y = -(2/3)x + 17/3
