the difference of the squares of two consecutiveodd integersis 48.find the integers
LET THE 2 ODD INTEGERS BE 2N-1 AND 2N+1
THE DIFFERENCE OF THEIR SQUARES =
(2N+1)^2-(2N-1)^2=4*2N*1=8N=48....[USING THE FORMULA (A+B)^2-(A-B)^2=4AB]
SO N=48/8=6
HENCE THE 2 NUMBERS ARE 2*6-1=11 AND 2*6+1=13
