Question 351518: in the equation 6-3x=2x+1 what is the value of x?
solve and show work
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6-3x = 2x+1
..
add -6 to both sides
6-6-3x=2x-6+1
-3x=2x-5
add - 2x to both sides
-3x-2x=2x-2x-5
-5x= -5
divide by -5
-5x/-5 = -5/-5
x= 1
