Can someone help me solve this and explain how it was achueved?

From the origin, the point is five places to the right and nine places down.

From the origin, the point is five places to the right and nine places down.
From the origin, five to the right means the x-co ordinate becomes +5
So the point becomes (5,0)
Now 9 down means the y-co ordinate goes 9 places down. remember that down on the y-axis is negative
so we get,
(5,-9)
