Question 325380: Ok...here goes...I am attempting to find the sum of the polynomials:
6x^3-2x^4+9 and -2x^4+3x+3
I think this is the way to complete the problem, if at all possible can someone confirm this and if i am wrong please assist me in understanding what I have done wrong...
My thoughts:
write equation
(6x^3-2x^4+9)+(-2x^4+3x+3)combine like terms
6x^3(-2x^4+(-2x^4)+3x+3+9
6x^3-4^4+3x+12
basically resulting in the answer being
-4^4+6x^3+3x+12
I would appreciate any feed back on this problem and thank you in advance for your time and help

My thoughts:
write equation
(6x^3-2x^4+9)+(-2x^4+3x+3)combine like terms
6x^3(-2x^4+(-2x^4)+3x+3+9
6x^3-4[X]4+3x+12 (you left out the X)
basically resulting in the answer being
-4[X]^4+6x^3+3x+12 (you did it again!)
