Question 298928: I need to explain this problem in essay form
4(x+7)-10=6(x-2)+8
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4(x+7)-10=6(x-2)+8
expand the brackets on both sides of the equation
4x+28-10 =6x-12 +8
shift all the algebric terms on the left side and the numbers on the right side.
when they are shifted the signs change.
4x-6x=8-28+10
Add the terms and the numbers on each side of the equation
-2x = -10
eliminate the -2 in the term -2x by dividing by -2 on both the sides
-2x /-2 = -10/-2
x=5
I hope this will be fine
