Question 28706: use factoring to solve the following equations:

Answer by longjonsilver(2297) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
you were nearly correct....
(3x-4)(3x+4) is the factored version of the quadratic.
So, (3x-4)(3x+4)=0 which implies that
either (3x-4) = 0 OR (3x+4) = 0
--> 3x = 4 OR 3x = -4
--> x = 4/3 OR x = -4/3
