Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
0.5x+0.5y=-2 MULTIPLY BY -2 & ADD.
x-0.25y=6
-x-y=4
------------
-1.25y=10
y=10/-1.25
y=-8 ans.
.5x+.5*-8=-2
.5x-4=-2
.5x=-2+4
.5x=2
x=2/.5
x=4 ans.
Proof:
4-.25*-8=6
4+2=6
6=6
