Question 24650: how do you tell the difference between linear and not linear ?
Answer by josmiceli(19441) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
linear means straight line. You have two variables in a linear equation
which are always in the same proportion to eachother like the slope of a
pitched roof is always the same. Domed roofs are definitely non-linear
because the slope isn't always the same. (at the top it's flat)
