Find the slope intercept form of the equation of the line passing through the points(6,-2)and (4,6).
----------------
slope = (6--2)/(4-6) = 8/-2 = -4
---------------------------
Form: y = mx + b
You know m = -4 and y = 6 when x = 4 ; solve for "b":
6 = -4*4 + b
b = 22
--------------
Equation:
y = -4x + 22
