x+2y+3z=6
y+2z=0
z=2
can you do this by substitution please.

Answer by Mathtut(3670) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sure ,lets start with z=2 and substitute that into the other 2 equations..we end up with x+2y+3(2)=6 simplified is x+2y=0 and y+2(2)=0 simplifying we get y=-4
sinc we know y=-4 we can substitute that into the 2nd equation which was simplified to x+2y+0 and we get x+2(-4)=0 solving for x we arrive at x=8
so x=8
y=-4
z=2
