Question 141323: the original problem was 4x-1=3x+15, I was told that my answer was algebraically correct but not graphically correct(The answer I got was x=16). I should look at it like y=4x-1 and y=3x+15. I don't understand where this came from or how to do this because if the equations are equal how will the intercept will they not be parallel lines?

No, not parallel; since they do not have the same slope the lines must intersect.
