first, get the w terms on the left side of the equation, and everything else on the right:
3w%2F5-w%2F2-1=1
3w%2F5-w%2F2=2
Find the LCD of the two fractions so you can add them. The LCD is 10, so rewrite each fraction in terms of the LCD:
6w%2F10-5w%2F10=2
Combine the fractions:
w%2F10=2
Solve for w:
