Add the two given equations and get


    3f + 5f = 1 + 7

       8f   =   8

        f   = 8/8 = 1.


Then from first equation


    3*1 + 4h = 1

          4h = 1 - 3

          4h = -2

           h = -2/4 = -0.5.


ANSWER.  f = 1;  h = -0.5.
