Question 1183426: x+y=5 & x^x+y^y =31

Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x+y=5 & x^x+y^y =31
x^x and y^y values increase very quickly, there are only 2 integers that would satisfy this equation. x-3 and y=2 or vice versa
3^3 + 2^2 =
27 + 4 = 31
obviously 3 + 2 = 5
x=3, y=2
or
x=2. y=3
