ok all you have to do is get X by itself. what ever you do to one side you HAVE to do to the other. like so:
x-5<8
+5 +5 =
x<13 =answer
now you can see that i added the five to both sides to cancel out the negitive that the five had and to move it to the left. you add the five to the 8 and PRESTO you have your answer! hope its helped you!
