Question 1050598: Comparing phone plans. Questions
Do those equations have a cross over point? Or in other words, is there a point where they are ever equal?
If we set up 1.59*T + 49.99 = 1*T + 39.99, what do we get for time?
If we get a negative number, what does that mean?
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If we set up 1.59*T + 49.99 = 1*T + 39.99, what do we get for time?
0.59T = -10
T = -10/0.59
---------------------
If we get a negative number, what does that mean?
It means there is no equilibrium point (no number of minutes
when the two plans would have the same charge cost).
